Our plans for the day were sadly interrupted
when we woke to find it a miserable, rainy day. We had wanted to snorkel a third spot (a nice rocky patch near
the beach) but the rain stopped us.
Instead, we sat around all day and worked on the Blog and uploading
photos to Facebook. Sorry … very boring
day and nothing to write about.
Oh, one thing did happen. Larry had checked his email and there was a
message from our tenant. The air
conditioner in the condo had stopped working.
Crap!!! The emails back and
forth started. Larry was hoping it
would be an electrical breaker. There
are several in the system that relate to the air conditioner. He copied Carl on the emails since Carl’s
condo is basically the exact same as ours (he lives across the hall from
us). Carl sprung into action. He worked with the tenant to eliminate
several of the possible causes. He even
went to Home Depot and purchased stuff to see if he could resolve the problem
himself.
Just before we’d left for this trip (back in
March), we had the condo’s air ducts tested for mold. Yep … we had mold and had to resolve the issue. They did whatever it was that needed to be
done and installed a UV light in the system to eliminate additional mold
growth. Now, this light was not working
either. Also, there were electrical
outlets in the kitchen that were not working.
Well … it seems more like an electrical problem than an air conditioning
problem. We’re hoping that’s good news
and that it won’t cost as much!
Thank you Carl for jumping on this so quickly
and for all your efforts in trying to resolve this on our behalf.
