Google Maps

I've received several requests to continue with our Lat/Long position so people can follow our trip on maps.google.com .  I will try very hard to start each update with our co-ordinates.

Please note:  Our GPS is set to provide the format of degrees/minutes/thousandths of minutes so that it matches our nautical charts.  In order to change this format so it can be viewed through maps.google.com, you must do the following:

Remove the N from the beginning

Remove the / and insert a space

Remove the W and put in a - (minus sign)

 

Once we change from the Northern to Southern Hemisphere, these instructions will change slightly but I will update you again at that time.

So, our co-ordinates today are:

        N18 01.122/W63 02.803

To view on maps.google.com you would enter as follows:

        18 01.122 -63 02.803
